Rest in PEACE little buddy !!!!!!

This past monday we decided to put our dog (son) Oliver to sleep. He was 10, had an ear infection, a large tumor growing under his left ear, skin allergies, and cancer. It was a hard decision but a wise one. We wanted to let him go as long as he could, but in the end I think that was selfish on our part, just not wanting to let go. The last few nights we notice he could not get a good night sleep he would constantly walk around to find a comfortable spot, sometimes disoriented walking into walls. He also slowly start losing control over his bladder urinating up to two or three times on the floor in one night. Because of his ear infection he had a strong odor which I'm finding that I am missing, who knew the thought of a strong odor would make you have such wonderful memories. If all dogs go to heaven, the angels owe us BIG time. To Oliver you will be missed but not forgotten.

When my dog Conroy died i was bereft. The sense of loss that was seeded inside my soul was profound. I recall I was sitting in my living at dusk, the hour of the soul, when I saw a movement in the room. It was Scout a stray that found his way to my house the month before. He was running through the living room back and forth with my bra in his mouth. Despite my sadness I laughed and picked him up and held him to me. Only a dog could make me feel better that day.
It's good to grieve. To let your heart howl in pain, to allow the tears to flow where they may. But as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow there will be a day of reunion. Your baby is now with the greats that went before him: Conroy, Collette,Dylan and many others.
Until the reunion day we will wait.

Hi Cedric, my first time on your blog, it's wonderful. I am so very sorry to hear about losing your little guy Oliver, he is so sweet looking. He was very lucky to have you caring about him and loving him all his life, and now immortalizing him on your blog...all the best, Kit

We recently made the same decision for one of our furkids (cat), Grayson. We miss her everyday. I'm glad to see that you have beautiful pictures and, I am sure, equally beautiful memories of your little guy.
